Vertical Drilling Machines are divided into the following types:

– Vertical Drilling Machines with constant spindle extension;
– Radial Vertical Drilling Machines;
– Universal Vertical Drilling Machines.

The main operation for Vertical Drilling Machines is to move the spindle with a tool fixed in it; the spindle moves vertically along the axis. Such machines are designed to process small holes and work with small workpieces.

The main difference between Vertical Drilling Machines and radial drilling machines is that in the former machines, the workpiece moves relative to the spindle during processing.
