One of the tools for processing metal is a hydraulic manual pipe bender, which ranges from light manual to heavy industrial machines. A pipe bender is the equipment designed for cold bending steel pipes. The most common pipe benders are ТГР-20M and ТГР-50M with manual hydraulic drive, which use mineral oil.
The principle of operation is as follows: the pipe is clamped between the guide rollers, using a hydraulic device is clamped by a pressure roller and stretches along the entire length of the segment. The result is the necessary curvature of the part, with a possible angle of up to 90. The metal does not require any pre-treatment before bending, it does not need to be reinforced with sand.
ТГР-20M is capable of clamping a pipe with a diameter of up to 26.8 mm and weighs in the range of 10-13 kg, while the more powerful ТГР-50M pipe bender copes with a diameter of 50 mm and its weight is within 60 kg. Due to their compactness and low weight, these tools are easily and economically transported. In addition, pipe benders are equipped with safety valves that protect the mechanism from damage.
The advantage of a hydraulic pipe bender over a manual is obvious: the operator puts less of its own effort into the drive, human work is replaced by hydraulics and occurs at a fairly high speed. Another obvious advantage is that the work is carried out without the use of electricity, that is, regardless of the conditions and location. Pipe benders are made exclusively from high-strength modern materials and have high performance, wear resistance and productivity.
